What does Camping Pros do?
Camping Pros offers food and camping packages for groups of 25 or more at campsites throughout Southern California.

How long has Camping Pros been in business?
Camping Pros has been in business since 1994 and has catered hundreds of trips.

What's Included in a Camping Pros trip?
Camping Pros has two packages. Our Food Service Package includes catered meals and snacks throughout your stay. In additiona to your food and beverage needs, our Food and Camping Package includes complete setup and take down of all your camping equipment. Various games are also included. See packages and rates for more details.

What types of groups use your services?
Groups we have catered to include corporate groups, churches, family reunions, youth groups, birthday parties, missions trips, men's and women's groups, and sororities.

Where are your camping trips?
We use campgrounds throughout Southern California. Check out where we go for some ideas for your next Camping Pros trip.

How do we choose a campground?
If you have already reserved your campground, let us know and we'll do the rest! If you're not sure where you'd like to stay, browse through the campground resources at where we go. If you need help choosing a campsite, let us know and we can give you some ideas. Please call campgrounds directly for reservations and questions regarding their amenities.

Do you make campground reservations?
No, we do not reserve the campsite for you. We will, however, help you find a location and give you all the necessary information needed to make your reservation. This service is only for groups using one of our Camping Pros packages.

Do you provide transportation to and from the campsite?
No, groups are responsible for getting to and from the campsite.

What is the minimum/maximum number of people/nights you cater to?
We require a 2 night/25 person minimum and can accommodate groups of 500+. The two night minimum may be waived for larger groups. Smaller groups are charged the 25 person minimum. Discounts apply to larger groups.

How do I book a Camping Pros Trip?
Just call or email and let us know the location, dates, number of people in your group, how many nights and how many meals you need. We will email you a proposal for you to review.  If you don't have a campground reserved we will do our best to help you find one.

What do I need to bring?
All you need is a sleeping bag, pillow and some personal items. We recommend bringing clothing for all types of weather as temperatures can drop quite a bit in the evening. Other recommended items are canteens and/or water bottles if you plan on hiking, favorite games and snacks other than those Camping Pros provides, sunscreen, your favorite reading material, a toothbrush and any other personal items you can't do without.

Do you supervise the children?
No, children are always the responsibility of the adults.

How far in advance do I need to make reservations?
We recommend making reservations 3 - 6 months in advance during peak seasons, especially during weekends. Choices of campgrounds become limited the closer you get to your campout date.

Are you a member of the BBB?
Yes, we have been a member in good standing with the San Diego Better Business Bureau since 2002.

Food and Beverage Questions

What kind of food do you provide?
We have several choices for you to choose from or we can customize a menu just for your group. Menus can be mixed and matched and minor substitutions can be made. Upgraded menus are also available for and additional fee. Please check out Sample Menus to get an idea.

What kind of beverages do you provide?
For breakfast we have hot cocoa, coffee and tea as well as some juices (orange, apple, etc. ) Lunches and dinners include assorted sodas, water and lemonade.

What kind of campfire snacks to you provide?
Each night we provide campfire snacks. Campfire snacks include roasting your own s'mores, rice krispee treats and cookies. Coffee, hot cocoa and tea are also available every night.

Do you accommodate vegetarians?
Yes we can arrange to have a vegetarian option for those groups with vegetarians. Please let us know when booking your trip if you have any vegetarians or other people with special dietary needs in your group.

Do you provide alcohol?
No, we do not provide any alcoholic beverages for your group.

Camping Equipment Questions

What's included with your Food and Camping Package?
In additions to all your food and beverage need, we setup your tents prior to your arrival. . Each tent comes with sleeping pads, tent lanterns and a front doormat. It also includes chairs, firewood, board games and recreation equipment. Check out our Food and Camping Package for more details.

What type of games do you provide?
We set up a screen tent full of sporting equipment and board games. Sporting equipment iincludes horseshoes and volleyball (space permitting), footballs, frisbees, hackeysacks, soccerballs, whiffleballs, etc. Board games include chess, checkers, cards, uno, pictionary, etc. For groups with young kids we have crayons, Lincoln logs, paper, etc.

What size and type of tents do you set up?
We use are 10'x10' dome tents with standing room in the middle and can accommodate up to 4 people pretty comfortably.

How many people do you put in a tent?
How many people you put in a tent is completely up to you. We typically provide 1 tent for every 3 people and the tents can accommodate up to 4 people pretty comfortably. You may choose to put 3 in all of them or 2 in some and 4 in another, etc.

Do you provide Sleeping Bags and Pillows?
No, unfortunately not. Sleeping bags and pillows are the responsibility of the participants.

Do you rent camping equipment only?
No, unfortunately not. Our camping equipment is exclusively for our food and camping package.

What are your sleeping pads like?
We use 6' x 2' gym mats as sleeping pads. Mats are 2" thick.

How much does a Camping Pros trip cost?
Rates are determined on number of people, how many nights and how many meals. Please check out Packages and Rates Page for rate details.

How many meals are included in the cost?
Prices are for arrival day dinner through departure day breakfast. Last day lunches are available for $10 per person.

What is the payment policy?
We require half down with the balance due at the conclusion of your event.

What is your cancellation policy?
If your group needs to cancel for any reason, Camping Pros will be entitled to retain a cancellation fee based upon the time of cancellation. If your group cancels more than 3 weeks prior to your campout, we retain 5% of the contract price. If your group cancels 1 to 3 weeks prior to your campout, we retain 15% of contract price. If your group cancels less than one week prior to campout, we retain 30% of the contract price.

What if it rains?
Trips are held rain or shine. If the campout is cancelled due to fire, flood, road closures or any similar or other Act of God beyond our control, we will be entitled to retain 15% of contract price to compensate us for time and effort in planning the event. If the campout is cancelled during your trip, a pro-rated schedule will be established to apply a refund. However, any group who voluntarily chooses to leave prior to their agreed-upon departure date will not receive a refund for the early departure.
