General Questions
What does Camping Pros do?
Camping Pros offers food and camping packages to group campers throughout Southern California and Northern Baja California, Mexico.
How long has Camping Pros been in business?
Camping Pros has been in business since 1994 and has catered hundreds of trips.
What's Included in a Camping Pros trip?
Camping Pros has two packages available. Our Food Service Package includes catered meals throughout your stay. Our Food and Camping Package includes all your food and beverage needs plus complete setup and takedown of all your camping equipment. Various games are also included. See packages and rates for more details.
What types of groups use your services?
Some of the groups that have used Camping Pros include corporate groups, churches, schools, family reunions, mission trips, men's and women's groups, sororities and all types of youth groups.
Where are your camping trips?
We use campgrounds and properties throughout the region. Check out where we go for some ideas for your next Camping Pros trip.
Do you make campground reservations?
No, making reservations for the campsite is the responsibility of the group.
What is the minimum/maximum number of people/nights you cater to?
There is no minimum number/nights as long as the minimum total exceeds $3000. We can accommodate groups of up to 500 people.
How do I book a Camping Pros Trip?
Just call us at 858.312.6777 or submit a proposal request and we will email you a proposal to review.
How far in advance do I need to make reservations?
We recommend making reservations 3 - 6 months in advance during peak seasons, especially during weekends. Choices of campgrounds become limited the closer you get to your trip.
Are you a member of the BBB?
Yes, we have been a member in good standing with the San Diego Better Business Bureau since 2002.
Food Service Package Questions
What's included with your Food Service Package?
Our Food Service Package includes catered meals, all your hot and cold beverages, and campfire treats. Please see our packages and rates page for more details.
What kind of food do you provide?
We have several choices for you to choose from or we can customize a menu just for your group. Menus can be mixed and matched and minor substitutions can be made. Upgraded menus are also available for and additional fee. Please see menus.
What kind of beverages do you provide?
For breakfast we have hot cocoa, coffee and tea as well as some juices (orange & apple) Lunches and dinners include assorted sodas, water and lemonade.
What kind of campfire snacks to you provide?
Campfire snacks including s'mores, rice krispee treats or cookies. Coffee, hot cocoa and tea are also available every night.
What time do you serve meals?
Generally we serve breakfast around 7:00am, lunch at noon, and dinner around 6:00pm. Coffee is always available first thing in the morning. We are flexible, it's your trip. We can move the meal times around your schedule.
Do you provide seating?
Chairs are included in our Food and Camping Package. You can rent chairs with the Food Service Package at $5 each for the duration of your stay. Most campsites have tables or picnic benches to eat at.
Does Camping Pros provide a hand-washing station?
Yes, we provide a hand washing/sanitizing station near our service area for all campers.
Camping Equipment Questions
What's included with your Food and Camping Package?
In addition to all your food and beverage needs, we setup your tents prior to your arrival. Each tent comes with sleeping pads, mini lanterns and a front doormat. It also includes chairs, firewood (if permitted), and miscellaneous board games and recreation equipment.
What size and type of tents do you set up?
We setup dome tents that can accommodate up to 4 people.
How many people do you put in a tent?
How many people you put in a tent is completely up to you. We typically provide 1 tent for every 3 people and the tents can accommodate up to 4 people. You may choose to put 3 in all of them or 2 in some and 4 in another, etc. Additional tents can be rented at $35 each with this package.
What type of games do you provide?
We provide various sporting equipment and board games. Sporting equipment may include horseshoes and volleyball (space permitting), footballs, frisbees, hackeysacks, soccerballs, whiffleballs, etc. Board games include chess, checkers, cards, uno, pictionary, etc. For groups with young kids we have crayons, Lincoln logs, paper, etc.

Do you provide Sleeping Bags and Pillows?
No, unfortunately not. Sleeping bags and pillows are the responsibility of the group.
Do you rent camping equipment only?
No, our camping equipment is exclusively used for our Food and Camping Package.
What are your sleeping pads like?
We use 6' x 2' gym mats as sleeping pads. Mats are 2" thick. (see picture)
Can we bring an air mattress?
Participants are more than welcome to bring additional padding or an air mattress.
Rates Questions
How much does a Camping Pros trip cost?
Rates are determined on the number of people, number of nights and how many meals. There is a $3000 minimum total for all trips. Please check out Packages and Rates for details. Please note that these prices do not include fees charged by the campgrounds.
How many meals are included in the cost?
Rates are for arrival day dinner through departure day breakfast. Arrival and/or departure day lunches can be added for $10 per person.
What is the payment policy?
We require a $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve your dates with us. The balance, depending on your final numbers, is due 3 weeks prior to your trip. (The $200 non-refundable deposit goes towards your final balance).
What if our numbers change?
The numbers on the original proposal and contract are estimates only. We do not need final numbers until three weeks prior to your trip when your final balance is due.
What is your cancellation policy?
If your group cancels more than 3 weeks prior to you trip, we retain your $200 deposit. If your group cancels between one and three weeks prior to your trip, we retain 15% if the contract price. If your group cancels less than one week prior to your trip, we retain 30% of the contract price.
What if it rains?
Trips are held rain or shine. If the campout is cancelled due to fire, flood, road closures or any similar or other Act of God beyond our control, we will be entitled to retain 15% of contract price to compensate us for time and effort in planning the event. If the campout is cancelled during your trip, a pro-rated schedule will be established to apply a refund. However, any group who voluntarily chooses to leave prior to their agreed-upon departure date will not receive a refund for the early departure.

Camping Pros accepts Mastercard, Visa and Discovery as well as personal and company checks.
